Greeley Tribune Letters to the Editor - Sue Anschutz

Recently I attended the raising of one of the last beams (topped by the ceremonial pine tree) for the new James Madison STEAM Academy.

It was a beautiful day to watch the excitement among students, staff and visitors in anticipation of the new K-8 building soon to be completed. Among those attending were Dr. Deirdre Pilch, Greeley-Evans District. 6 Superintendent, along with District 6 School Board members.

A huge “THANK YOU” goes to Superintendent Pilch and the Board for the foresight they have shown in orchestrating the building of new schools and modification of others to help insure the continued quality of education for District 6 students.

Additionally, a huge “THANK YOU” goes to the residents of Greeley-Evans who voted in favor of the mill levy override making it possible to fund these projects. A vote for Ballot Measure 4A in the upcoming election will extend funds for additional projects to support District 6 students.

Sue Anschutz, Former Madison Principal
